Marine Mammal Stranding Center is just s. of the lighthouse at 3625 Brigantine Blvd. Devoted to the rescue and rehabilitation of stranded or distressed marine mammals that come ashore along the New Jersey coast, the center has assisted whales, dolphins, seals and sea turtles. A 1,000-gallon tank offers underwater views of fish caught locally; the fish are displayed beginning in May and are released in September. Exhibits at the Sea Life Educational Center include such animal artifacts as whale vertebrae as well as life-size replicas of marine mammals and fish. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
