Red Mill Museum Village is at 56 Main St. Built around 1810, the mill was used for grist milling, plaster and talc grinding and graphite processing. Displays from a 40,000-item collection depict early 19th-century life, methods of agriculture and local industries. Other buildings on the 10-acre site include a working blacksmith shop, a quarry office, a general store, a log cabin and a one-room schoolhouse.
