Ford Mansion (Washington's Headquarters) is at 30 Washington Pl. Built 1772-74 for Col. Jacob Ford Jr., the Colonial house is furnished in period and has a few original 18th-century pieces. During the winter of 1779-80 it was the home of Gen. and Mrs. George Washington. Entrance to the mansion is by guided tour only.
$7 (includes Washington's Headquarters Museum and Library); free (ages 0-15 with adult).
Hours: Tours depart from the headquarters museum Wed.-Sun. on the hour 10-11 and 1-4, when staff is available. Phone ahead to confirm tour times. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
