AAA Inspector Notes
Classic. This long established restaurant continues the traditions of Portuguese immigrants in the Ironbound district. Very near the Newark airport hotels, this comfortable dining room offers up a large menu of Iberian favorites. There's a good selection of shellfish appetizers ranging from clams in green sauce to king crab legs with garlic sauce, and entrées include broiled squid with clams and cilantro sauce, roast suckling pig, broiled rack of lamb and rabbit stew. The calm Old World ambience soothes.
