Cornelius Low House/Middlesex County Museum is adjacent to the Rutgers University New Brunswick/Piscataway campus at 1225 River Rd. This two-story stone building was constructed in 1741 for Cornelius Low, a prosperous Dutch merchant and prominent Raritan Landing citizen; the Low family owned the home until 1793. The museum presents changing exhibits pertaining to local and state history.
