ABQ BioPark Aquarium and Botanic Garden are at 2601 Central Ave. N.W. Marine habitats of the Gulf of Mexico and other ecosystems are presented at the aquarium. Tanks contain stingrays, jellyfish, eels, sharks and other aquatic life. The botanic garden features Mediterranean and desert conservatories, a children's fantasy garden, water and plant exhibits, demonstration gardens, the BUGarium insect exhibit, the Rio Grande Heritage Farm and the Sasebo Japanese Garden. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
$12.50; $9 (New Mexico residents); $5.50 (ages 65+); $4.50 (New Mexico residents ages 65+); $4 (ages 3-12). Combination ticket with ABQ BioPark Zoo (Tues.-Sun. and holidays 9-noon) $20; $15 (New Mexico residents); $10 (ages 65+); $8 (New Mexico residents ages 65+); $6 (ages 3-12).
Hours: Daily 9-5 (also Sat.-Sun. 5-6, June-Aug. and some holidays). Last admission 30 minutes before closing. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
