Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park is at 1504 Miehls Rd. Situated in the Ocotillo Hills off US 285, it provides a home for some 40 animal species native to the Chihuahuan Desert and also displays hundreds of species of succulents from around the world. The endangered Mexican gray wolf is part of an exhibit focusing on conservation.

Daily 8-5, Memorial Day-Labor Day; 9-5, rest of year. Last admission 90 minutes before closing. Closed Christmas.
