Pancho Villa State Park is at jct. SRs 9 and 11. The site of Pancho Villa's raid into American territory is preserved at the park, which commemorates the event with historical exhibits, including pre-World War I vehicles used by Gen. John Pershing's men in their pursuit of Villa. The 61-acre park includes a visitor center, a 7,000-square-foot exhibit hall, buildings from Camp Furlong, nature trails, a playground and an exotic botanical garden with some 30 varieties of cacti.
