AAA Editor Notes

Lincoln Historic Site covers the half-mile stretch of town. More than a dozen 19th-century stone and adobe buildings are preserved as they appeared during the 1878-81 Lincoln County War, a violent era in the state's history. The Tunstall Store and the Lincoln County Courthouse Museum contain exhibits. Other buildings include the Montaño Store and the San Juan Mission Church. The Anderson Freeman Museum houses Native American, settler, cowboy and war exhibits.
