Los Alamos History Museum Campus is next to Fuller Lodge on Central Ave. It occupies a restored log and stone cottage that once served as the guest house for the Los Alamos Ranch School. Exhibits relate the region's history, including the Manhattan Project and the Los Alamos Ranch School; photographs, textiles and other items are on display. Also on the campus are an ancestral Tewa site dating from the 13th century, a relocated homesteader's cabin dating from the late 1800s and the Hans Bethe House, site of the Harold Agnew Cold War Gallery.
Note: The museum is currently closed for renovations and is scheduled to reopen in December 2016; in the interim exhibits are on display at a temporary location at 475 20th St. Phone ahead to confirm reopening date and admission information.
