New Mexico Museum of Art is just off The Plaza at 107 W. Palace Ave. The museum, completed in 1917, houses contemporary and traditional American art. Changing exhibits focus on Southwestern artists from the 19th century to the present, including the Santa Fe and Taos masters. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$9; $8 (students with ID); $6 (New Mexico residents with ID); free (ages 0-16, for New Mexico residents with ID on Sun., New Mexico senior citizens with ID on Wed., and to all Fri. 5-8). Combination tickets are available with the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, the Museum of International Folk Art and the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors.
Hours: Daily 10-5 (also Fri. 5-8), Memorial Day-Labor Day; Tues.-Sun. 10-5 (also Fri. 5-8), rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
