Beautiful location.
Pros: If u have a car, and like being away from the center but a quick drive away, this is ur place. I would recommend dinner out, but breakfast is amazing.
Cons: Our first night there and I was so looking forward to a wonderful dinner. I ordered the lamb chops M/R, but they were so raw, and cold, I couldn't eat them. Sent them back. And believe me, I know lamb chops. Did I mention the flies.

A place for glorious sunsets
Pros: Excellent food - the chef is clearly very good. The views and environment are great, as well as the suites. Overall a very nice place.
Cons: The service was a bit patchy with some silly staff errors and sloppiness. That said, some staff were absolute stars.

THE place to stay in...
Pros: Everything. This is the best place to stay in Santa Fe, hands down. Rooms are huge, perfectly appointed (down to the locally sourced bath salts for the most awesome tub in a hotel room not on the ocean), and the silence and dark at night to the sound of the birds chirping in the morning is ideal. Take the free shuttle to downtown Santa Fe and walk as much of the Plaza and museums as you like, but for true luxury, sleep here in Tesuque.
Cons: What could have been better? Not a thing, it was spot on perfect, including the marvelous head to toes massage and treatment at the on site spa, which was even more enjoyable than the local fav Ten Thousand Waves.

Magnificent retreat, to step back...
Pros: Off the beaten path, views and great place to unwind.
Cons: I'm being a little picky here, but it is a Four Seasons. I never could get the heat in the bath room floor to work. I had dinner from the lunch menu in the bar and the food was truly outstanding and I thought worth the price. Breakfast was a different story. Orange juice out of a carton and while the huevos rancheros in their own right were excellent they came with nothing else, just a couple of eggs, a supçon of salsa roja and chorizo, a chiffonade of tortilla chips, and embellished with an affected swoosh of black bean paste brushed on the side of plate. It would be more appropriate to describe it a breakfast tapa. All for $38. I went and had a breakfast burrito in town.
