Zia Pueblo and Mission is off US 550 at 135 Capitol Square Dr. Settled in the 13th century, the pueblo stands on a barren mesa, seemingly blending into the natural terrain. The pueblo's ancient sun symbol was chosen to adorn the state flag. The Zia Cultural Center displays and sells traditional crafts.
Photography, sketching, recording and cellphones are not permitted. A permit is required to fish in Zia Lake.
