Albany Institute of History and Art, 125 Washington Ave., presents permanent and changing exhibits about the art, culture and history of Albany and the Hudson Valley region. Collections include Hudson River School landscapes, early Dutch limner portraits and 18th- and 19th-century New York furniture, sculpture, ceramics and decorative arts. The museum also houses an Egyptian collection and a library. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$10; $8 (senior citizens and students with ID); $6 (ages 6-12); free (to all Thurs. 5-8).
Hours: Wed.-Sat. 10-5 (also Thurs. 5-8), Sun. noon-5. Closed major holidays.
