AAA Editor Notes

New York State Museum is in the Empire State Plaza. Multimedia exhibits focus on the Adirondack wilderness, the New York City metropolis and the state's Native Americans. The latter exhibit includes a full-size replica of an Iroquois longhouse. Participatory programs about art, history, science and technology are offered. Carousel rides are available.

Hours: Tues.-Sun. 9:30-5. Closed Jan. 1, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
