Bear Mountain State Park

Bear Mountain State Park is 5 mi. s. off US 9W. The George W. Perkins Memorial Drive winds to the 3,106-foot summit of Bear Mountain, where a tower and observation deck provide views of four states and the Hudson River Valley. The swimming pool and carousel are popular summer activities; visitors can go cross-country skiing and ice skating in winter.
