Woodlawn Cemetery, Webster Ave. at E. 233rd St., was established in 1863 and contains more than 250,000 graves, including those of Duke Ellington, Herman Melville, Joseph Pulitzer and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Sculpture adorns the landscaped grounds. Musical programs, tours and special events are held regularly. Guided tours are available.
