The pastrami is top-notch and the beef brisket is even better. I always love to make a detour here if I am in South Brooklyn.
AAA Inspector Notes
As the years go on there are fewer and fewer traditional kosher delis in Brooklyn serving Central European favorites. Tasty knishes, beef brisket, pastrami, potato latkes, matzo ball soup and mushroom barley soup have been supplanted, even in the old neighborhoods, by sushi, gourmet and organic newbie eateries. Happily, this well-respected Sheepshead Bay eatery keeps the Old World cuisine flame burning and the steam table hot. With friendly service and metered street parking on the avenue.
