The Brooklyn Dodgers were the glory of the borough during the 1950s and broke many a heart when they moved to LA. This mid-century fast-food and sandwich joint evokes the days of Subway Series, milkshakes and early rock 'n' roll. Both their roast beef and turkey sandwiches are flavorful and signature. When rumors swirled in 2015 of the iconic restaurant closing its doors after nearly 50 years, Brooklyn-wide wailing ensued, reminiscent of when the Dodgers left town. Happily, it wasn't true. To accompany the sandwiches and fries, both beer and wine are served as well as French Champagne by the bottle, for those who have reason to properly celebrate.
