AAA Inspector Notes
Recreation and family fun activities are the themes at this all-season resort located in the hills of Sullivan County with tons of on-site activities for every possible interest. The room décor can very a bit and some are a little dated. Several room types are offered but even the standard rooms have good space. You probably won't be spending much time in your room with all the fun amenities. This resort has gained a reputation for feeding its guests very well; it has several restaurants and meal plans available with a very competent service staff. Smoke free premises. 139 units, some two bedrooms, efficiencies and kitchens. 1-3 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: The location
Cons: Pretty much everything; the staff was rude, I was seperated from my party, my room smelt old and musty and my bathroom smelt like dirty, old pee. I was told free different check out times by the staff and ended up checking out late. It took me almost 30 minutes to check out because there was only two people at the computers. And for how much you pay for a "standard" room you might as well stay at a holiday inn. I
mature couple
Pros: excellent food in the dining room as always. the waiter staff is top notch. always make you feel at home.
Cons: i made the mistake of booking the hotel on booking, com. not only did they not explain that it was a hotel only room, they never explained the cancellation policy. When i expressed interest in canceling our stay the agent said that it was Villa Roma who would not allow us to cancel without paying 90% of the price. In fact he lied because the hotel told me it was's policy. Villa Roma was great but I will never use ever again. I will also tell as many people as humanly possible to never use them as well. Villa Roma should sever all ties with because it will only hurt the credibility of their business.
family with older children
Pros: The pools, bocci court the shows at Marty's Lounge and the club Forum
Cons: I have copd and the room they put us in at the hotel was at the end of the row of rooms up the hill. The room was 300 sq. ft and there were 5 of us. We left after 1 night when I did pay for 2. I couldn't bear the thought of being in that room again.
Very Good
family with young children
Pros: Villa Roma was overbooked so they gave me a time share. Cheaper and very suited to what we needed
Cons: Pool and activities staff are quite young and pretty much inattentive. The food and service at restaurant was lackluster.
family with older children
Pros: The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for the 3 of us.
Cons: The beds were hard. Not a lot for older people to do.
