AAA Editor Notes
Antique Boat Museum is 6 mi. s.w. of 1000 Islands Bridge (I-81) on SR 12N at 750 Mary St. This collection of freshwater wooden boats includes Native American dugout and birch bark canoes, St. Lawrence skiffs and early 20th-century speedboats, launches and pleasure craft. Featured are the Dixie II, the Miss Canada III and other Gold Cup boats along with the personal boat of President Ulysses S. Grant. Boat rides and a 30-minute guided tour of the 1903 houseboat La Duchesse are available.

Daily 9-5, mid-May through Columbus Day; Sat.-Sun. 9-5, day after Columbus Day-Oct. 31; by appointment rest of year. Last La Duchesse tour departs 1 hour before closing, late May-late Sept.; phone ahead to confirm schedule. Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
