National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, 25 Main St., chronicles the history of baseball—both the statistical achievements and the sport's emotional side—through photographs, artifacts, player memorabilia, sports ephemera and interactive terminals. Exhibits cover such topics as women in baseball and the World Series. The museum's centerpiece is a gallery with plaques representing Hall of Fame inductees.
$23; $15 (ages 65+); $12 (ages 7-12 and veterans with ID); free (active and retired career military with ID). A combination ticket with The Farmers' Museum and Fenimore Art Museum is available.
Hours: Daily 9-9, Memorial Day weekend-day before Labor Day; 9-5, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
