AAA Inspector Notes
The menu here is created by identifying the freshest and most naturally produced foods through local and organic producers. The seasonally changing menu may include such signature dishes as house-cured smoked salmon tarte flambé with crème fraîche and capers, Scandinavian classics like toast Skagen and refined desserts including spring strawberry rhubarb crisp with homemade honey vanilla gelato, and Catapano Farm goat cheese tarte with homemade lingonberry sorbet. An abundant wine selection is offered including 20 by-the-glass selections and more than 200 vintage bottles from the wine cellar. As the name implies, the restaurant is located in the living room of a 150-year-old Federal-style country inn. Fashionably eclectic fabrics and artwork are used to accent the space. A Swedish smorgasbord of shrimp, skagen, creamy cilantro herring, gravlax, caviar, pickled red onion, crème fraîche and traditional garnish is a unique and popular choice.
