Savory old school Italian-style dining is at its best here. Attentive servers in semi-formal attire deliver such Northern Italian cuisine as osso buco, grilled veal chops, fine risottos, sole in white wine and garlic, and, of course, pasta preparations. A roving guitarist serenades with songs of diners' choosing on most nights. A large bowl of fresh fruit comes to the table before the dessert cart filled with cakes and pastries rolls through. A wonderful place for that special evening out. The staff prepares some dishes and sauces tableside. There is a large antipasto cart at lunch with numerous offerings that include fresh mozzarella salad, stuffed peppers and sautéed asparagus or zucchini.
