National St. Kateri Tekakwitha Shrine and Native American Exhibit

National St. Kateri Tekakwitha Shrine and Native American Exhibit is .5 mi. w. on SR 5. The shrine honors the place where this Native American girl was baptized and lived almost half her life. Also included is the site of a 17th-century Caughnawaga Indian village, an excavated and preserved Kanienkehaka site. Nature trails are available.
