Clermont State Historic Site, 4 mi. s. on SR 9G, then 1 mi. w. on CR 6 following signs, comprises the 500-acre Hudson River estate of Chancellor Robert R. Livingston, delegate to the second Continental Congress and member of the committee to draft the Declaration of Independence. The original circa 1740 mansion was burned by the British in 1777 and rebuilt 1779-82. The grounds contain historical nature trails and restored formal gardens.

Grounds Apr.-Oct. $7 (per vehicle Sat.-Sun. and Mon. holidays); free (Mon.-Fri.). Grounds rest of year free. Mansion tour $7; $6 (ages 65+ and students with ID); $4 (ages 12-17).
