Historic. In a stately, restored mansion that sits prominently in the center of town, chef owners Stephen Butters and Rebecca Newell-Butters have found their culinary nirvana. The accessible menu features eclectic, upscale items like candied garlic spare ribs, Moroccan lamb spring rolls, Hudson Valley duck breast, and sage stuffed Berkshire pork chop. Boundaries are stretched with a signature Inca bowl of adobo-spiced quinoa complemented by both vegan and seafood options. Service is friendly but refined. Chef Newell-Butters, a native of Glens Falls, came to national TV prominence on the Food Network, besting the competition on “Chopped” in 2009 and later marrying Bostonian Stephen Butters. The couple soon after opened this gracious restaurant following its restoration.
