Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park, on SR 27A (Montauk Hwy.), covers 691 acres, more than 200 acres of which are open to the public. Plantings include azaleas, conifers, hollies and rhododendrons. A 68-room Tudor-style house, constructed in 1886 and the former Cutting residence, features lavish woodwork, stained-glass windows, large fireplaces and period furnishings.
Guided tours are available. Food is available.
