FASNY Museum of Firefighting, at the Volunteer Firemen's Home at 117 Harry Howard Ave., was founded in 1925. One of the country's oldest museums of its type, it contains more than 60 fire engines dating 1725-1974 and numerous pieces of equipment, gear and memorabilia depicting the evolution of firefighting. There also is a children's interactive program and a discovery room. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$7; $5 (ages 3-18); $20 (family, two adults and two children).
Hours: Daily 10-5. Closed major holidays.
