Cornell Plantations, 2.5 mi. n. on SRs 79 and 366 at One Plantation Rd., lie along the Cascadilla and Fall Creek gorges. The plantations contain trails, botanical gardens, ponds, streams, woodlands, swamps, a lake and an arboretum. The Brian C. Nevin Welcome Center features interpretive exhibits. The 100-acre F.R. Newman Arboretum features a variety of trees and trails. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
Free. Parking: Free (Mon.-Fri. for the first hour and Sat.-Sun.); $1.50 (Mon.-Fri. per second and third hour).
Hours: Daily dawn-dusk. Welcome center daily 9-6.
