Cornell University is on the n.e. side of town. The Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art is open Tues.-Sun. 10-5. Chimes at the University Clock Tower are played regularly when school is in session. Other places of interest on the campus include Triphammer Bridge, with its view of Fall Creek Gorge, Triphammer Falls and Beebe Lake; the Olin Library; Anabel Taylor Hall; and the Lua A. Minns Memorial Gardens. Central campus tours depart from the main lobby of Day Hall. Guided tours are available.
