AAA Inspector Notes
Classic. This neighborhood lunch counter and ice cream parlor from the 1920s has, almost unbelievably, remained pretty much intact over the very many decades. Their kitchen sink sundaes are legendary. Started as a New York neighborhood restaurant in 1897, the Jahn's family chain eventually stretched from South Brooklyn to the Bronx. Now all are closed except this last remaining location, in the bustling area of Jackson Heights, where children still enjoy timeless and extravagant ice cream confections.
