Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours departs from 115 S. Water St. in Lewiston and the King George III Inn at 61 Melville St. in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The company offers 45-60 minute trips on the lower Niagara River on 48- to 54-seat jet boats. The river can be experienced on either Wet Jet trips, where a good soaking can be expected, or a dry version of the trip in a domed jet boat. Features of the tours include inspiring scenery, historical landmarks, the class 5 white-water rapids of Devil's Hole and the Niagara Whirlpool.
Note: Allow 2 hours minimum for preparation, tour and clothing changes. A change of clothes is recommended for the Wet Jet trip. Complimentary lockers, life jackets, ponchos and water shoes are provided for use during the trip. Participants should be in good health; a signed release is required. Trips are not recommended for those with heart, back or neck problems, and pregnant women may not take the tours. Guests must be a minimum of 44 inches tall for the Wet Jet trip and 40 inches tall for the dry Jet Dome trip.
