Onondaga Lake Park, off I-81 Liverpool exit 24, then 1.5 mi. w. on SR 370W to 6790 Onondaga Lake Tr., extends 7.5 mi. along the eastern shore of Onondaga Lake. Features include four trails, a visitor center, fishing pier, dog park, skate park, marina, boat launch and athletic fields as well as the original Salt Spring and the Jesuit Well. The Salt Museum contains a replica of a 19th-century salt boiling block and other artifacts. Tram rides and inline skate and bicycle rentals are available mid-May through Columbus Day. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
Free. Skate park $3 per session.
Hours: Park open daily dawn-dusk. Museum open Sat.-Sun. 1-6, Memorial Day weekend-Columbus Day.
