Pros: On a positive note, breakfast was good and wi-fi was working well
Cons: They forgot to clean our room one day even though we left at 10 AM in the morning and told the cleaning lady that our room was ready for cleaning (she was right in front of our room when we left!). When we came back at 1 AM at night, they hadn't clean the room, change the sheets, towels, etc. so we went to reception to ask for a cleaning just to be told that the housekeeping doesn't work at this time. My husband went all the way down to "C" floor (under the reception where they keep all the cleaning products) to get cleaning products and towels and we cleaned the room ourselves at 2:30 AM !!!!! We ended up sleeping by 3:30 AM and skipped breakfast. It totally ruined our day. It's a shame because we were there for 3 days only! They did not offer any compensation for this, we are extremely disappointed and will not recommend this hotel to anybody staying in New York City.

Pros: Location: the hotel is next to the R and W trains and is at about 15 minutes from Manhattan
Cons: Sincerely shocked a Marriott hotel would offer such poor standards: We arrived at 11.00 pm. The first room that was given to us smelled like someone had smoked right before and they made us change the room twice before we found one that was not smelly, nor “too close” to the train. Indeed, you can hear the train passing nearby from every room. Ear plugs are not enough to cover the noise. The breakfast (included in the price) is a shame! It is open until 9 am, there are only 2 staff members (being both cook and waiter) for the 400 rooms meaning that there was nothing to eat as of 8.30 when the restaurant was packed with people waiting for the food to arrive. If you are lucky, you might eat half an omelet on a paper plate. If you are very lucky, you might even find a seat (which was not our case). Some were even eating standing. For this price ($200/ night) there are much better options in NYC.

Pros: The hosts were friendly and funny. That's always a welcome surprise after a long flight. The 2 min walk to the subway is also very pleasant!
Cons: We only get to spend one day here. No further comments.
