Medina Railroad Museum is at 530 West Ave.; from downtown take Center St. (SR 31E) just w. to West Ave., then West Ave. s. to the museum. This renovated freight station is packed with more than 7,000 artifacts. Train models, tools, lanterns and a replica of a ticket booth are among the antique railroad memorabilia on display, along with vintage firefighting equipment and model planes from World Wars I and II. Working model toy trains run through a village diorama complete with businesses and warehouses.
Two-hour sightseeing excursions in vintage 1947 passenger coaches feature a 34-mile round trip between Medina and Lockport following the scenic Erie Canal Heritage Corridor. Fall foliage and seasonal themed trips also are available.
