AAA Inspector Notes
Some guests boat to this Star Island resort where many of the blue-and-white rooms, each with a patio, overlook the marina. Some services, such as the in-town shuttle, operate seasonally. Beautiful villa rooms are located in separate cottage buildings that date back to 1928. They offer larger rooms and some unique charm, including decorative fireplaces and moldings. A small sandy beach is also located on site and it's perfect for small children due to the calm waves. Smoke free premises. 107 units. 2 stories (no elevator), interior corridors.

Pros: Loved room so close to beach
Cons: As a person with bad leg had difficty getting off deck and great difficulty getting onto deck no step. No hand rails inshower tub not skid resistant, safety issues, no hand rails coming from side exits, had to wait for assistance to do outside steps, many mature people noted with canes must have had similar difficulty. I must note at pool area a toddler was runningaround pool mother within sight, but child with no protectives on and nothing said by pool staff, potential fordisatouris outcome .

Pros: Nice location next to lake, could have lots of potential.
Cons: Staff handled power failure and resulting check-in chaos poorly and did not communicate appropriately. Level of cleanliness to be improved. Staff mostly seemed desinterested and not very focused, especially by US standards. Overpriced at rate we paid.

Pros: Room was lovely. View was beautiful. Had one great dinner, but breakfasts were mediocre and expensive. Went into town to eat a great breakfast at half the price.
Cons: Poorly trained staff, some with bad attitude. Quality of food inconsistent and service very slow. Not enough umbrellas & cabanas. Beach staff removed newspapers and magazines from cabana and threw away. Tried to hit us up for extra day's stay on checking out. Hotel getting run down. I realize that this is a family resort, but a number of families let their badly behaved children run wild with no consideration for other guests.

Pros: Stylish rooms with lovely marina views. Well equipped with some nice amenities, including free use of bikes and paddle boats, and a free shuttle to town and the beach.
Cons: Nice resort, fun, well equipped, and family friendly. But the hotel is oddly bad at providing information about all it has to offer, which is substantial . Since when does a hotel not have a packet of information in a drawer about restaurant hours, facilities, etc. Most of the staff was nice and responsive with a couple of notable exceptions and a truly terrible bartender. All a little odd at this pricey resort.
