Genesee Country Village & Museum

Genesee Country Village & Museum, 1.2 mi. w. of SR 36 on Flint Hill Rd., occupies 700 acres and has 68 19th-century structures that have been moved from their original sites, restored and authentically furnished. Costumed villagers portray 19th-century daily life, while craftspeople demonstrate spinning, weaving, cooking, tin smithing, coopering and other skills and crafts.

The 1803 Walter Grieve's Brewery sports copper kettles and leather hoses and demonstrates the same brewing practices as the early brewers. The John L. Wehle Gallery features an outstanding collection of art and textiles. The Genesee Country Nature Center includes more than 5 miles of interpretive trails. Trolley transportation is available most weekends and during events.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
