The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor is 3 mi. s. of I-84 at 374 Temple Hill Rd./SR 300. The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor pays tribute to recipients of the Purple Heart who were wounded or who lost their lives in defense of their country. A 7,500-foot gallery features a timeline wall, interactive exhibits, oral and video histories and a 10-minute movie. The gallery also holds the only known surviving example of the Badge of Military Merit, the inspiration for the Purple Heart, presented by George Washington to members of his troops at this site. Of interest is the Colonial toy exhibit.
