Madame Tussauds New York is at 234 W. 42nd St. between Seventh and Eighth aves. Realistic wax figures representing icons of popular culture, entertainment, sports, politics and New York history are staged in interactive vignettes. Visitors can ogle Robert Pattinson and Johnny Depp, rub elbows with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, and shoot hoops with Carmelo Anthony. The Opening Night Party exhibit depicts a glitzy, after-theater gathering of such luminaries as Angelina Jolie and Sofia Vergara while Kelly Ripa and other Manhattanites grace the Spirit of New York exhibit. The interactive Music Zone includes Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. The Marvel Superheroes Cinema 4D Experience allows visitors to step inside the top secret command center and unlock their powers alongside the Hulk, Spider-Man and more. Pass their tests and guests advance to the thrilling finale. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
