Museum of the American Gangster is at 80 St. Marks Pl. The museum shows visitors the “real” New York circa the days of gangsters, prohibition and speakeasies in the 1920s, with a collection of artifacts including death masks of John Dillinger, bullets from 1929's St. Valentine's Day Massacre and a safe that held $2 million in gold notes.
