New-York Historical Society

New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park W. at W. 77th St., traces the history of the city and houses the DiMenna Children's History Museum—the first museum to bring American history to life through the eyes of children. Also showing is “New York Story,” a panoramic film recounting New York's rise from remote outpost to city at the center of the world, and "We Rise," a short film that places women at the center of political thought and action that reshaped the country in the early 20th century.
