It's modern, clean and the...
Pros: The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. Jamal was a truly delightful person - they evidently didn't really have the room I had requested so he adjusted and upgraded me to something else. (And gave me extra chocolate -which is always nice ;^}. ) The room was very nice. The bed was very comfy (the pillows were sorta weak and got flat easily. I know that's subjective; I have a bad neck...) If you need to be in midtown / midtown east it's a great locale.
Cons: It's dumb little things they didn't do, they aren't imperative but then they niggle at you : There was a bulb out in the bathroom; the shower curtain leaked when you showered and, Yes, I put it inside the tub line. • The door of the bathroom can't remain open, and it's heavy, so its a pain to try to keep it open if there's just one person in a room. • As I said the pillows were big, but just kind of "airy" so, no real support. • I had a lot of work docs & materials with me that I couldn't leave out if I went out, and couldn't fit in the safe - so usually I had a "Do Not Disturb" on the door. Thinking they'd probably want to clean one day, I took all the confidential materials with me and took the sign off - I was out from 9am - 3:45pm - but when I got back it was clear no one had entered, never mind cleaned, the room. I didn't care since I didn't "need" it cleaned badly, but it showed no one came for that whole day (??), it seemed sorta careless. And there's no channel guide option, so you have no idea what's on - Now, I get it most people are out enjoying NYC, but those of us there for work just need things easy, since we're in meetings or in our rooms for 4 days. A basic GUIDE option on the remote would seem an easy enough thing - or a Guide channel? Still not a big hairy deal, just irritating for 4 days.
