Pros: A highly-styled, very attractive and very efficient hotel in an excellent location in Chelsea. A Nespresso machine in the room and free beverages was a real plus. Very good bar and restaurant. A fun place to stay.
Cons: The fitness room was fine, but it could use some additional equipment.

Pros: I don't think I've ever slept so well in a hotel - the bed was SO comfy and had plenty of big squishy pillows. The breakfast was also very good with a good assortment of fresh, chopped fruit, homemade yoghurt / granola and plenty of pastries. Hotels in NYC can be pretty mediocre at the 4-star level, but I'd recommend this place without hesitation. I will be back!
Cons: The daily room clean was fairly basic - it could have been a bit more thorough. Everything was spotlessly clean, but it could have been a bit tidier.

Pros: Nice clean modern rooms. Two double beds in a room are hard to find in Manhattan. The free drinks in the mini bar were a nice touch. The staff was friendly.
Cons: The bathrooms are very small, no tub and they are separated from the bedroom with only frosted glass. Not so good if you are sharing a room and have to turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night. The coffee machine makes better expresso than American coffee. Very expensive breakfast and coffee downstairs is 6$ a cup.

Pros: The bed was comfortable, rooms were clean and the staff apologized earnestly.
Cons: That the staff apologized often. It was more reactive stay and not proactive. The wifi wasn't working. They said the server wasn't working, they apologized. The hot water was working. They upgraded me to a better room, they apologized. The restaurant wasn't busy and yet I didn't get served so I didn't get to try the restaurant. They apologized. The lights turns off automatically while you're in the shower. All in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I even asked to leave but I was stuck there because it was prepaid. With the apologies, they waved fees and yet I just saw extra fees on my card and now I'm still being inconvenienced even though I'm no longer there any longer. I wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't pleasant and it felt more stress to stay there.

Pros: Location. Contemporary look, if that's your ultimate cup of tea.
Cons: The "facility fee" of $20.69 per day (for wifi, bottles of water, coffee widget and access to gym) is an insult to the intelligence of clients, considering wifi is free in the subway, coffee shops and a grocery store can be found on 6th and 7th Avenues, and you get all the exercise you need walking the streets of NYC... Also, decor is nice and slick for sure, but at the expense of practicality. For instance, the tall mirrors beside the door of every room would be more useful INSIDE the room than outside. And the slick washbasin did not drain properly -- as a result of its slick design or was it an isolated situation?
