AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Landscape/gardens): The robust greenery off the sidewalk is a hint of things to come on the interior. Whimsical and packing a design whallop, this is one beautiful hotel.
This upscale boutique hotel has a fresh and elegant style. The entrance, through a leafy tunnel arbor, clues in visitors that this is not your average Manhattan hotel. Rooms are soft, plush and artsy. The feeling continues through the soft light blue lobby and the outdoor grassy terraces on the second floor. The bright rooms have large windows and are very well appointed. The bathrooms are on the small side but are richly clad in fine white marble. Rooms on the upper floor have spectacular views of the city. Smoke free premises. 263 units. 26 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Great location with great views and very quiet. Staff is exceptional.
Cons: The furniture/carpet in the rooms are starting to get a little worn. The bathroom is beautiful with the marble - but incredibly chilly on a cold winter day.

Pros: Great location. Fairly new and hip decor
Cons: Room was very small and bathroom door seemed to be assembled using Ikea furniture. Room did not feel luxurious at all.

Pros: It was beautiful and had a very fun atmosphere. The bar was a little pricey, but excellent.
Cons: The room was a little warm when we got there, but the temperature was adjustable so not a big deal.

Pros: The location was great.
Cons: I found hairs in the bed my first night there and the heat was broken for my entire stay (the room never got above 63°F at night and in the morning) despite maintenance looking at it twice. They never offered to move me to another room.

Pros: The entrance and lobby areas were impressive. A great bar with skylights and plants made it feel like you were not in downtown Manhattan.
Cons: Once you got past the impressive lobby it felt cheap. Elevator rugs were dirty and curled up from the floor. The room was very basic that felt like a holiday inn express. There was a loud motor in the toilet that ran after every flush.
