Pros: Amazing view. Crispy clean soft linen. Great little kitchenette. Close to everything, Time Square, Central Park, Broadway Shows, public transport.
Cons: We were not really unhappy with anything

Pros: The facilities in the room for cooking and a laundry room was convenient. The location was fantastic.
Cons: The staff did not demonstrate any form of hospitality, we constantly felt inferior and snubbed. Our room on more than one occasion was not serviced, and one occasion this meant we had no toilet paper and ringing and asking for this was an annoyance to the staff. The staff could not understand our annoyance with no toilet paper, bins not being emptied (3 days it had not been emptied) no replenishing of tea bags, dishwasher powder, bed not being made (more than once), no maps for the city and no general welcome feeling to the hotel and that was from management to front desk and housekeeping. We spoke to management about our room and we were scoffed at. To give an example of another guest we assisted as we had witnessed a mother with a child in a pram and the mother was struggling with the door, the staff stood and watched. We received more of a warm greeting walking past the neighbouring hotel.

Pros: Excellent location Pretty quiet as for NY (especially on the 50+floor) Very good room service Comfortable bed
Cons: The breakfast is as poor as it can be. Frozen bagels, tons of glucose-fructose syrup, cheapest food available, melamine mugs and plates...Is it some new NY Marriott standard? Luckily you've got plenty of decent options around the corner. Anyway, not such a big issue. Still, the worst things can happen at the reception desk. Beware of giving them your CC or debit. Just cash. They were the only one during a weektime in NY to have problems with my Citi Mastercard authorization. Finally they hold 2000 USD more than rate on my CC limiting the money I could use for the stay in NY!!! Ah, and there was plus 130 USD as a security deposit should you be interested in stealing some peanuts from their bar when paying almost 3K USD for the stay... The best is nobody knows, of course, "how come". They couldn't see any operations and they claimed nobody had authorized it. So how come I was seing 2000 USD on hold by Marriot CP all the time? We were lucky to learn on the very last day. A very competent girl from the frontdesk, we hadn't met before, was much more sincere and professional with me than anyone else in there. The answer to this true riddle of the Sphynx was: "Sorry guys, the system is obsolete, we've been asking the managers to make something with it. It's been over a year that nobody can fully control it. And especially at longer stays (we were there 8 nights) it can block itself much more money at your CC or debit then required for will be returned for sure anyway." It was as she had promised - I got this 2000 USD released back to my account when arrived back to Poland. I was more lucky having used my USD account for payment at Marriott. Just to give the others some idea - if they had blocked 2000 USD from my regular PLN account and return it, I would possibly lost almost 250 USD due the "currency rate spread". Simply as that.
