AAA Inspector Notes
This landmark property originally opened in the 1980s as one of the very first boutique hotels in the city. Fashioned after a luxurious 1920s-era residence, its avant garde design is one for the ages. Rooms and hallways are designed with a modern nautical feel, with many being relatively large for the area and some boasting fireplaces. Restored to its original luster in recent years, the hotel has regained its standing as a bona-fide late 20th Century European design New York landmark.
