AAA Inspector Notes
Modern comforts, hospitality and technology create a winning combination here. While very near the bustle of Midtown, this establishment exudes a politely refined, cosmopolitan quality. There is a seasonal rooftop bar with fantastic views. Bikes are available for the guests' use, and a staffed, complimentary wine hour is offered on weeknights in the spacious lobby. The property is pet friendly. Smoke free premises. 325 units, some two bedrooms and efficiencies. 16 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

The hotel was very nice. Perfect location, 10 min walk to grand central, 15 to Times Square. Valet parking for cars is $55 per day, trucks and SUV's $65 per day. There were other 24 hour parking garages, minimal fee difference. Beautiful rooftop viewing area. Plenty of small dining options within the vicinity. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant but prices were reasonable.
Pros: The location was great, doorman & valet were very nice. Check in staff was efficient. The room was clean, maid service was good.
Cons: There was a $25 per day amenities fee that I was told about at check in. I work in the resort industry so I'm pretty good at investigating hidden fees, but this one slipped by me. The only thing the fee seemed to give you is $10 off at the mini fridge in the lobby of the hotel...

My overall impression was positive. The staff were pleasant, the room was nice, and the price wasn't too bad.
Pros: The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We had 2 rooms, the one with the small kitchenette was great.
Cons: The lobby smelled like stale cigarette smoke. We waited a long time for valet parking for our car which had a negative impact on our day. The coffee in the room was not adequate, there was only 1 caffienated coffee and several decaf. I didn't think to check when I got in late at night and was very disappointed in the morning.

Good vibes as soon as entered. Almost always busy with people coming and going but staff never rushed me through.
Pros: Proximity to where I needed to be
Cons: Had to check out at desk. Would prefer phone or internet check-out even though the check-out process went pretty quickly.
