Pros: Great location for getting to different attractions, and easy to walk, if you don't mind (St Patrick's, 5th Ave shopping, Central Park, Times Square). Quieter area, less busy in evening. Lots of nice restaurants in vicinity too. Room was nice size, very comfortable bed. Kitchenette was perfect with refrigerator, sink, dishes and glasses, too. Very helpful and friendly staff!
Cons: The room service charge of $30. $10 could be used in the restaurant, but didn't get a chance to use it.

Pros: The rooms are large. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The location is very good. The beds are comfortable.
Cons: The rooms are tired and dimly lit. The bathrooms are small, the anti slip in the tubs are fading (so watch out). The Benjamin is an old style classic instead of having all the modcons. Once upgraded it will be nice. The internal temperature control is limited: we needed space heaters to be brought up. These are the small things that ruin your mood and stay when you constantly have to deal with small things not being right, one after the other, e.g. electric sockets don't work, no drying cloth provided for kitchenette etc It's expensive for what it is and what you would expect from a 5* hotel. It's more location than anything else.

Pros: Concierge and door guys were wonderful. Beds really comfortable. Shampoo was actually good which is rare in a hotel! Some small things ... the room temperature was hard to regulate without a noisy fan; there was no bottle opener, silverfish in the bathroom. But very close nvenient and comfortable. We had a poor view but we didn't spend much time in the room.
