One of my very favorite lobbies in town. As retro-classic as it gets in NoMad, this is the place to get dressed up and have a classic rendezvous.
AAA Inspector Notes
Built in 1903, this fashionable boutique hotel features truly classic decor and offers top-notch dining options on-site. There is a lively social scene in the museum-quality Art Nouveau style lounge. Located in the area of Manhattan once known as Tin Pan Alley, musical actress and “It Girl” Evelyn Nesbit is the namesake for the hotel. A young George Gershwin composed some of his classic songs nearby and the hotel had been named for Gershwin during the 20th Century. The splendid renovation the hotel underwent channels the spirit of this storied age. Highly recommended.
